Library Visit! 

For World Book Day last week, we took 90 students throughout the day to Aylestone library where students received a library card, we listened to book recommendations, and had an opportunity to browse and borrow books. These students now have access to 1000s of books at libraries across Leicester, along with a catalogue of audio and e-books online! If you're interested in joining Leicester libraries, please see Miss Eatwell or Miss Woodhead for information on how to get your own library card. 

With a Leicester library card, you can access the libraries in Aylestone, Beaumont Leys, Belgrave, Braunstone, Evington, Eyres Monsell, Fosse, Hamilton, Highfields, Knighton, Leicester Central, New Parks, Pork Pie, Rushey Mead, St Barnabas, St Matthews and Westcotes.

Thank you to all the students who were young ambassadors to Lancaster Academy demonstrating respect throughout the visit, and thank you to the Leicester library team for accommodating us for the day. We hope to see you again very soon!
